As I sit here in my living room in rural upstate New York, we are in the middle of a mid-March snowstorm. A fire is going in the wood stove; hopefully the last fire it will see until next winter!

I want to take a few minutes and discuss what this blog is all about. You can also listen to my podcast Here, where I discuss much of what is covered in this first introductory post.

It seems like blogging, vlogging, and podcasting have become quite popular. It’s a way for people to get whatever message they have out to a viewing, listening, or reading audience. But I think we all know that not every message one puts out, should be listened to!

There are some things that I want you to know when you read this blog. It is my goal to share truth. Yes, truth is often subjective; depending on who is delivering it, and who the audience is that receives it. The truth I desire to share can easily be found by anyone who desires to find it. It’s the truth found in the Bible.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

2 Timothy 3:16

But please let me be clear. This blog is not a preaching forum. If you read the About section, you know I’m not a preacher, nor am I an ordained minister. I’m just one person who desires to use the avenue and platform given to me, to try and make this world a better place. To leave it better than I found it.

If you’re searching for a blog or podcast that discusses politics, I’m sorry but you have landed on the wrong page. There are plenty of other blogs that cover those topics, but I just choose this not to be one. While there will be some posts that play into the political realm, my aim is to keep things pointing towards the cross.

I want this blog and accompanying podcast to be used in a way that lifts others up. That provides hope and inspiration. While I do not know right now the reach it will have, my desire is that it will touch at least one person and make a positive impact in their life.
